My name is Laureen Hill, and I am from Couchiching First Nation, born and raised. My parents are David and Laura Bruyere, and I now live in Fort Frances with my husband Jason and our children, Matthew and Makenna.
I hold an Honours Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work from Laurentian University and a Bachelor of Arts from Lakehead University, and I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
As the first CEO of Agency One First Nations Cultural Organization, I am honoured to serve our communities through ceremony, culture, and education. I look forward to continuing to learn and work alongside our Board of Directors, Chiefs, survivors, and Elders as we strengthen our shared connection to Agency One lands.
Our Board of Directors represents the vision, commitment, and leadership of the four Agency One First Nations. Together, they guide the organization’s direction and uphold the mission to revitalize culture and protect the land for future generations.
Our Cultural Revitalization Advisory Committee provides essential guidance on language, ceremony, and cultural protocols.
Each member contributes lived knowledge and experience to ensure Agency One Cultural’s initiatives remain rooted in Anishinaabe values.
